3. Rawlinna

The Indian Pacific Train stops at Rawlinna for sumptuous dining under the stars (Westbound) or morning tea (Eastbound). Rawlinna is a railway stop on the edge of the Nullarbor, near the largest sheep station in Australia. The best scenery to view is the bountiful stars in a clear night sky.

4. Cook (Westbound Sydney to Perth Travellers Enjoy a Longer Stop)

Cook is famous as a ghost town, but not a haunted one. This former railway town was closed in 1997, leaving most of the town and bush hospital uninhabited except for a few residents. Westbound passengers on the Indian Pacific train can explore the abandoned town guided by a map.

Adelaide is famous for its vineyards and historical buildings. Wine connoisseurs, foodies and art lovers alike will love Adelaide for its award-winning wines, restaurant culture and vibrant arts scene. Featuring picturesque coastline, live music and events, and close proximity to famous wineries in Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills, there is plenty to do, see, and taste in Adelaide.
