Spacious Double or Twin Platinum Cabins

Honeymooners on The Ghan train are likely to want to book a platinum class double bed cabin for their journey. A spacious twin platinum cabin is also available for troubled sleepers. Double platinum cabins are twice the size of a standard gold class twin cabin, and they offer:

  • Luxurious furnishings, fittings, fixtures and appointments
  • An ensuite bathroom with a separate shower, toilet and vanity with cupboard
  • Large picture windows on each side of the cabin

Double beds convert to a 2-seater lounge, with a moveable table and two ottomans during the daytime. The twin beds convert to 2 lounge seats with a moveable table and 2 ottomans. 

Dining and Refreshments

Indulge yourself with our excellent regionally inspired on-board menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy a fresh continental breakfast in bed upon request, or make use of the exclusive platinum club dining car for chef prepared meals from our on-board restaurant, The Queen Adelaide. The Platinum club car serves as a dining area during the day and converts to a lounge during the evening for relaxation, complimentary refreshments and beverages. Refreshments are also served in cabins.
