The unforgettable Adelaide-bound journey begins in Brisbane and scoops a trail down the scenic eastern coast of Australia. Relax at the popular coastal town of Coffs Harbour before you head on to Port Stephens. Explore the coastal city of Newcastle and enjoy the beautiful panoramic coastline views. Your journey continues to the verdant Hunter Valley wine region for a winery tour, before veering westwards towards the scorched red earth outback mining town of Broken Hill. We finish the journey in Adelaide, South Australia’s hub of the arts, fine food, and award winning wineries.
The Great Southern Rail Route from Brisbane to Adelaide
The Adelaide to Brisbane journey reveals another side of the southeast, and ventures into Victoria. Setting off from Adelaide, the Great Southern Rail hugs the South on the way to Victoria’s majestic Grampians mountains. We cut across regional Victoria and New South Wales to visit Canberra, for an iconic tour of Australia’s capital. The journey continues to Urunga to see the Great Dividing Range before returning to the picturesque coastal town Coffs Harbour for some rest and relaxation. At sunny Brisbane, The Great Southern Rail odyssey is complete.

Breakfast, a 2-course lunch, and a 3-course dinner is included. The Great Southern Rail offers a selection of single, twin, and double cabin accommodation in gold and platinum class.
